Abstract:
Energy consumption is experiencing major increases with rapidly developing technology. Due to these increases, interest in renewable energy sources is increasing and research is being conducted to increase efficiency. Grid-connected solar power plants create some problems in terms of grid security, power quality and management. The most important of these problems is the harmonics originating from the battery groups and inverters used, which reduce the energy quality in the grid. In this study, the harmonic effects produced by grid-connected storage solar power plants were investigated and photovoltaic solar plants were modelled in MATLAB/Simulink program. As a result of the simulation, harmonic effects were examined and the effects of harmonics on grid performance were observed. In addition, the effect of the filters used in the system on harmonics was analysed in detail.
